The newest of the six Messner Mountain Museums is located at the summit of Kronplatz, at an elevation of 2,275 meters, just behind the Ciastel. Inside the impressive building designed by star architect Zaha Hadid, you’ll find an exhibition on traditional mountaineering, curated by Reinhold Messner himself.
Its exceptional location offers breathtaking views of the Dolomites, the main Alpine range, and all the way to the Ortler. It can be reached by gondola from Reischach, Olang, or the Furkel Pass, or alternatively by hiking from the Furkel Pass.
